Interest
  • The current interest rate for the Beleggers Spaarrekening is  1.25%  for the balance class of €0 up to and including €500,000 and  1.45%  for the balance class of €500,000 up to and including €1,200,000. No interest will be paid above the highest stated balance class.
  • All current interest rates for our savings accounts are listed in one convenient place.
  • If you would like to receive an email when the interest rate changes, sign up for our  newsletter .
Debit interest

Overdrafts are not permitted on your Beleggers Spaarrekening. If you do go overdrawn, you will pay interest. We charge the same amount of interest as we would if your current account were overdrawn.

If you are using your securities-based loan, you will pay interest on your loan every quarter in arrears. The interest you pay is the ABN AMRO Euro Base Rate plus a surcharge.

If you would like to open an Beleggers Spaarrekening, please call us on 0900 - 81 70 (standard call charges apply). If you are calling from outside the Netherlands, please dial +31 10 - 241 17 23.
Withdrawals

You can withdraw money as follows:

  • Transfer an amount from your savings account to your current account. You can do so free of charge. Simply use Internet Banking or call our Investment Line (standard call charges apply).
  • To make investments, use Internet Banking or call the Investment Line (standard call charges apply).
Closing the account

You can always close your Beleggers Spaarrekening at no cost. Read more about closing a savings account.

Are my savings safe?

Our money is protected by the Dutch Deposit Guarantee.

Your money held in accounts at ABN AMRO Bank is legally protected by the Dutch Deposit Guarantee, from 1 cent to €100,000. This protection applies per person and applies to the total amount that you have in your accounts at ABN AMRO Bank. You do not have to do anything for this.

Terms and conditions

In the event of any disparity between the Dutch original and the translation, the Dutch intro will prevail.
