The app is not working

The app is not working

If the ABN AMRO app has stopped working, take the following steps to find out why and how to solve it.

  1. Check whether your device is running the latest version of iOS (for Apple devices) or Android and install the latest software update, if available.  
  2. Check whether you have the latest version of the ABN AMRO app installed. You can check this in the Apple App store or Google Play Store (for Android devices). 
  3. If you do have the right software, but the app is still not working, there may be a technical error. Check the latest error log.
Unable to update the software on your device or the app? 
 
The cache in the Google Play Store app on your Android device may be full. Here’s what to do:
  1. Go to the settings on your phone. 
  2. Tap ‘Apps’ > ‘Google Play store’.
  3. Tap ‘Storage’ > ‘Clear cache’ at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Next, go back to ‘Settings’ > ‘Apps’ > ‘Google Play services’. 
  5. Tap ‘Clear cache’ at the bottom of the screen. After you have cleared the cache in these apps, the download will resume and you can install the ABN AMRO app. 

Don’t have an Android device or still unable to download the ABN AMRO app after clearing the cache? 

Your device may be outdated, meaning that new app features will not work, as they use the latest Android and iOS functionality. Unfortunately, the app will therefore not run on obsolete versions, even if your device is still in excellent working order. You can, however, still use Internet Banking to do your banking. Log in using the yellow button in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
