A direct debit is not the same as a standing order. A standing order is something you set up yourself, whereas a direct debit is not.
Is the payment not a direct debit?
Then there are two possibilities:
- The payment is a standing order. You set up a standing order yourself and can stop it yourself.
- Paying via recurring payments is similar to a direct debit. However, there are differences. With a direct debit, you give a company permission to regularly withdraw money from your bank account, for example, for your insurance or monthly energy bill. This can only be done with a Mastercard debit card. Contact the seller's or provider's customer service to stop a recurring payment.
